Gas prices are at an all time high and is not exactly the consumer to blame. When tracing why pump prices have escalated, you could determine that everything changed during the World Trade Center attacks and when the United States invaded Iraq.

Even though Saddam Hussein is not a factor at this point, the fall of oil prices remains a consideration. Oil markets are still viable due to the political turmoil in some oil producing nations and the fluctuations in supply.
